The times we sat by the river

searching for the warmth of the sun

are forever cherished in my heart.

We are now so far apart: the water flowing,

the sky of incandescent blue

became to me a constant reminder of you.

I walk alone along the sunny path,

filled with thoughts of those day past.

the boats go by, the breeze plays with my hair

and I wonder why life takes away

friends for whom so much we care.

I miss your smile, I miss your way.

I hope and pray I will see you again some day.
